~afternoon tea~

• Afternoon tea was introduced in the early 1840s to curb the appetite before dinner with tea sometimes served with little sandwiches or small cakes. Some people still participate in afternoon tea with family and/or friends in Scotland and England.

• My friend & I were able to attend an afternoon tea with our study abroad advisor. It was such a beautiful afternoon and we were able to enjoy hot tea, a beautiful view, and great company! 🙂 ☕
