~running workout~

• This video was taken at my first marathon (September 2023) minutes before my race! I love it, capturing the morning light and many pre-race jitters.

• Anyways, I wanted to share a running workout I’ve really been enjoying that puts a little ~spontaneity~ into the normal miles by incorporating a mix of running & walking! You can do it outside or inside, but adding in the elevation would most likely require a treadmill!

1 hour continuous run:

Warm- Up
10 minutes easy run pace
5 minute speed walk at elevation of choice
(15 min total)

10 minute base run pace
5 minute speed walk at elevation
(30 min total)

5 minutes base run pace at elevation
5 minutes elevation walk
(do this 2x – 50 min total)

(cool down) – little to no elevation
5 minutes base run pace normal elevation
5 minute walk no elevation
(1 hour total)
