~running~

β€’ “Enjoy training, fall in love with it, and become it. By doing so, you will look forward to running, not finishing, and that makes all the difference in the world.” – Michael D’Aulerio

β€’ This is one of my favorite quotes about running and training.πŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ I’m sure we’ve all been there. Focusing so much on finishing the race we signed up for, or getting the run/workout over with. But we forget the reason we fell in love with it, the reason we sign up for another race. I’ve learned when I train because I love to, I end up running faster, and hitting more PR’s on the pavement, in the gym, and I’m the yoga mat.

β€’ It helped me so much to create a training schedule that was well balanced between running, workouts, work, and life in general! That allowed me to care for myself, spend time with my family and friends, and feel my best. It allows me to enjoy and look forward to run and workout instead of focus on “getting it done”.

β€’ We all have days where it’s harder than others. But finding the exercise you enjoy and incorporating it into your life will become habit. And even if once in a while it feels like monotony, the good days will outweigh the bad. Plus, the mental and physical benefits are so beneficial for your body and brain.

β€’ I encourage you to write out and experiment a training schedule that works with you. That allows you to reach your fitness and wellness goals realistically and balanced. Try to enjoy your training sessions. Put a good podcast on for your run, bop to a good song during your workout, or really soak up the yoga flow. We got this! 🩡
