β’ “The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.” – Sylvia Plath πΈ
β’ How many times have you let the fear of not being “good enough” let you miss out on something? I’ve had days where I don’t feel confident enough to partake in something social. Or I think I’m better off not trying something because I could let myself or others down.
β’ I’ve started to shift my thinking. Life is all about messing up and getting back up. If you never try, you never grow. All of these creative outlets and adventures can’t be explored if you don’t allow them to be explored.
β’ I’m teaching my first yoga class tomorrow. Am I scared? YES. Am I going to do it? YES. I have some tips that help me when i feel scared doing something for the first time.
πͺπΌ Remind myself of other things I’ve done with fear. – I’ve run a marathon, I became a Personal Trainer, I traveled alone to study in Scotland.
π What would I tell my best friend? – “I believe in you, and I’m so proud of you for doing this. Just try your best and trust yourself.” – Then say it to myself.
π¨ Think of the worst that could happen… then solve it. This is a funny one, but it really helps. EX. I could get so nervous I blank. What do I do – take 2 deep breaths and reset myself. EX. I don’t like the pressure. What do I do – Note it, move on, pursue my other interests.
β’ Let yourself do scary things. It builds creativity and confidence within yourself. You are capable of more than you think, so believe in yourself next time! π±
