~running & listening to your body~

πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ Really listening to our bodies is a game changer when it comes to fitness. I’m training for a half marathon right now, which naturally calls for more mileage. I’ve made a plan that’s progressively guiding me to be healthy physically & mentally on race day.

πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ A mix of base runs, long runs, resistance training, cross training, tempo, is necessary to incorporate all aspects of movement for the body. Along with this variety of training it’s important to include proper nutrition & recovery as well.

πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ Yoga with adriene on youtube has been incredibly helpful with strength in both my mind & body. I’ve been able to tap into what actually feels good. It’s had a direct correlation with better training performance too!

πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ Give your body & mind the extra care you deserve. Movement is a gift & you’re doing great no matter where YOU are at in YOURΒ  journey πŸ™‚
