• “Your journey is not the same as mine, and my journey is not yours, but if you meet me on a certain path, may we encourage eachother.” ☘
• Comparison in life is something we all experience. I used to compare my life, running abilities, appearance, intelligence, etc. to others all of the time. I remember standing on the line for high school cross country races & my mindset wasn’t on the race, or my goals. It was looking at the girl next to me and pointing out all our differences in my head.
• I’ve grown SO much over the years & realized that where I am in life and my personal goals in running has nothing to do with the person across from me. It’s okay to have goals for yourself, but know that it’s a process that may take a different amount of time than someone else. The path you are on may look different from someone else’s, & that’s okay!
• Whether you run 3 miles or 10 miles, lift or do yoga. Let yourself enjoy your accomplishments. Movement is a gift and don’t let comparison ruin that. 🏃♀️
Maybe you wish you could travel like an old classmate is. But instead of being disappointed in yourself you can’t right now because of money or work, make travel a goal for yourself. Be happy for someone else’s journey & try to realize everything you do have at the moment.
• God made you, YOU because you have something different to offer the world than anyone else. Never forget that. 🤍🕊
We should collab!? 💜
