• Reading & writing have always been important to me. Reading can provide knowledge, create an escape, build a community, & inspire. I’ve always loved to connect with characters & go to new places through books. When I read, it helps with my writing process. I learn what I do and don’t like in books, my vocabulary grows, and my imagination expands.

• I encourage you to try reading a book, any genre, that interests you. Next time you reach for your phone, pick up the book instead. Or try writing… maybe a fictional world, or maybe a biography?
