• I’m currently taking a 5 month yoga teacher training course. So far, it has been a physically, mentally, and emotionally life changing experience. I’ve learned so much; not only about myself, but how I process and view my life.
• We are reading the book “The Yamas & Niyamas: Exploring Yoga’s Ethical Practice” by Deborah Adele. (I can’t recommend it enough, it’s amazing!) It dives deep into the 5 Yamas and 5 Niyamas. It’s a guide to embody the spiritual practice and elements of yoga.
• There are so many beautiful lessons I’ve learned. But one that’s been sticking with me lately is the Niyama “Santosha” meaning contentment. Be happy with where you are in your life, how far you have come, and what will come.
• It DOESN’T mean that you are stuck. It DOES mean that you are grounded and present. You are looking inward for gratitude. You are inviting what will come. You are at peace with your life and yourself. 🫶🏼🧘🏼♀️
