β’ April was Earth month! I’m a little late on this post, but I hope we carry the same love and respect for Earth that we emphasized last month into the whole year. ππ
β’ Earth is home to humans, animals, plants, mountains, bodies of water, everything! It’s our responsibility to protect and nurture her and she does us.
β’ Going on a run at the park, taking a hike in the mountains, swimming in the lake, biking through a path. Think of how alive you feel during movement outside and how free you feel after.
β’ Reading a book on the porch, drinking a coffee while watching the sunrise, laughing with friends in the backyard, or having a cookout with your family. All of these events outside are nourishment for your mind and soul.
β’Β Being environmentally friendly is not about perfection. Small acts add up. And when we care for the planet, we care for one another, and the generations to come. Here is what we can do:
π± Repurpose – Think creatively! Maybe a chipped cup can be used to water plants in the house.
π± Reduce waste – Try to use tupperware, bring your own straws/mugs when you get coffee, and less single-use plastic/etc.
π± Recycle – Look for products that allow you to recycle cartons/material after use.
π± Support local and sustainable foods – Shop at a your local book/clothing stores. Buy fresh and real foods at the farmers market or neighbors gardens.
π± Use what you need – Less is more. In a culture where “having things” is prioritized, try to ask yourself “Will I use this, and for how long?” or “Do I really need this?”
β’ Explore nature, stay mindful, hug a tree! π
